Seit 19 Jahren begeistert das Gaede Trio Publikum und Musikkritiker auf der ganzen Welt. 1991 in Berlin gegründet, gelang es dem Ensemble schnell, sich in der Musikwelt zu etablieren. Seinen Namen verdankt es seinem Gründungsmitglied und langjährigen Geiger Daniel Gaede. Einladungen führen das Gaede Trio in alle wichtigen Musikzentren des In- und Auslands. So ist es immer wieder zu Gast beim Kissinger Sommer, beim Rheingau- und beim Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, im Konzerthaus und in der Staatsoper Berlin, in der Meistersingerhalle Nürnberg, beim Mozartfest Würzburg, im Musikverein und beim Klangbogen Festival in Wien, dem Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris und in der Frick-Collection New York. Konzertreisen führen die Musiker nach ganz Europa, Japan und in die USA. Zu den Partnern des Gaede Trios zählen u.a. der Pianist Markus Schirmer, die Flötistin Andrea Lieberknecht und die Oboistin Clara Dent. Das Repertoire des Ensembles reicht vom Barock bis zu Werken der zeitgenössischen Musik. Komponisten wie Georg Katzer, Berthold Goldschmidt und Siegfried Matthus schrieben Auftragswerke für die Musiker. Von Beginn an nahmen CD-Produktionen einen besonderen Platz in der Arbeit des Gaede Trios ein. Große Teile des Repertoires wurden in einer eigenen Serie bei tacet veröffentlicht, weitere Aufnahmen erschienen bei SONY und Largo Records, London. Die Aufnahmen erhielten uneingeschränktes Lob der Fachpresse und Hervorhebungen wie "Audiophile CD des Monats" (Stereoplay), "Stern des Monats" (Fonoforum), "Empfehlung des Monats" (Klassik Heute) und den "Diapason d´Or" in Frankreich. Daneben ist das Wirken des Trios von einer regen Zusammenarbeit mit Radio- und TV-Sendern wie NDR, ORF, DW, Deutschland Radio, Deutschlandfunk, SWF und WDR geprägt.

For 19 years, the Gaede Trio has been warmly welcomed by audiences and critics all over the world. Founded in 1991, the ensemble was able to establish itself quickly in the music business. The name of the Trio is derived from the surname of the founding member Daniel Gaede. The Gaede Trio has performed at all major centres of music at home and abroad, such as the Kissinger Summer Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein and Rheingau Music Festivals, the Würzburger Mozart Festival and the Klangbogen Festival in Vienna. They also played at the Konzerthaus and the Staatsoper in Berlin, the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremburg, the Musikverein Vienna, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, at the Frick-Collection in New York as well as at many other music venues. Various concert tours took the ensemble to Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Japan, the USA and the Far East. For many years, the Gaede Trio has collaborated with artists like Markus Schirmer (piano), Andrea Lieberknecht (flute) and Clara Dent (Oboe).
